Holiday Neutral EOFD (12/17/11)

"Holiday Neutral Eyes"

These are very simple Holiday Eyes.

I only used to colors for this EOFD.

Here is what I used:
StillGlamorus Pigment - Glee
Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette

Brushes:
ELF (eyes lips face) shadow brush from their essential line

Yes, this is the only brush I used.
It's a great blending brush!!

How-To:

Step 1: Apply SGC pigment GLEE wet.
You can use a spray bottle
and dampen your brush.

Step 2: Blend out the edges up into your crease

Step 3: Take the dark shimmer shade in the third row
and apply to your outter crease and blend.
You do nothave to apply a highlight.
Although, I used my Too Faced Translucent Setting Powder.
It has a gorgeous light shimmer finish, perfect!

Falsies:
Ardell 53

Eyeliner:
NYX Studio Lqiuid Liner - Extreme Black
(It's not my cup of tea but I'm using it anyway)

I hope you enjoy this <3

Tiffany Glam French - NOFD

Tiffany Glam French

This was actually my first attempt at doing a 'french tip' on myself. I always found it so difficult to do so and I never understand why it was so hard for me until I saw Sonia (sccastaneda tutorial) do a tutorial on how to do this. Not so bad for my first time doing it by her technique. :)

WHAT I USED:
Sally Hansen Extreme Wear - 340 Mint Sorbet
NYX Girl - Dreamy Glitter
Top Coat - Orly Nail Lacquer

Deanna's 7-8 month Favorites!

Thank heaven for these because my daughter loves them!

I was so scared to even think about giving my daughter something like these because she had barely gotten her teeth so being the 'nerve wrecking' mommy that I am I crushed them and put them in her mouth for about a month. After she pulled in her second tooth I started to think about it a little more but was still hesitant about the topic. When she turned 8 months I decided to see how she would adapt to the snacks. She ate one without 'gaging or choking'. I was so excited so I went in for the second one, then third, then fourth, then fifth, then two days later I pour some on her tray and she picks them up and feeds herself. :D I was one happy momma! The next thing I tried were the pin wheels. She ate those whole too with no problem what so ever! Ever since she has been eating these on her own with her two little teeth she has gone through many of these! She is in love with the sweet potato, apple cinnamon, and apple and bananas flavor in the puffs. The veggie dip 'cheetos' are excellent! She loves those  more than the other items. I thought having two of each would be good but nope, I need about five of each just to catch up with her. :) They are healthy and wonderful for your little crawler to learn how to eat on her own. It's wonderful to see them be so determined to pick up a puff/cheeto.

Another strategy all you mommys can try:
If your child is grabbing or reaching for items let them grab out of the container themselves. Motivate them and influence them to do so. This will help them become more familiar of what they are capable of doing themselves.

I let my daughter grab a pin wheel out of the container.
I don't hand it to her unless I'm in a hurry to do something but when I sit down with her I want her to learn and it's the best way!!

I really hope you all enjoyed this and I do recommend these to all first time mommys.

STOCK UP!!

Big Time Favorite Right Now!

ELF Powder Brush $3.00 (Studio Line)

Ok guys. So I recently discovered that by using this brush to apply my foundation works miracles for me! It blends my foundation so so so well and I love it! I'm not a huge fun of the stippling brush or the foundation brush. It always left streaks on my face and hated that I had to blend back with my fingers. I saw someone use this as foundation brush so I thought I'd give it a shot and I'm never turning to anything else! This brush is great for soooo many things. Especially applying any type of creme blush! I do recommend you to try it out and see how you like it. You can't be $3 for a makeup brush! Doesn't hurt to try. :D I use this brush to apply so many things so I do constantly have to wash it. ( I'm just going to go ahead and buy me two more extra ones to save me the hassle! )

Bad Hair? Want to revive it? Follow my version of the hair bible!

Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

Believe me. . this stuff works wonders for your hair. After the first use I never imagined using any other product! Before, my hair was so rough and nasty. Then I used this and my hair felt so silky and smooth like I never had all that chemical damage to my hair! Of course everyone knows that it is not good to wash your hair everyday so when you do . . use this and you will not be disappointed with the results. Even when I straightened or curled my hair you could not tell I had one inch of deadness in my hair! I also apply very very little of the conditioner to my hair and leave it in after I'm done. This increases the results more. (I only apply it to my ends)

Don't feel like spending money on Dove? It's quite pricey for some people! Here's my alternative.

Tresemme Moisture Rich Shampoo & Conditioner

This works just as good!!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum - Extra Strength

It is amazing!
My hair has so much history. I've bleached it plenty of times for highlights to get it as blonde as possible to doing the half and half look. (Half Cinnamon Brown & Half Blonde). From that process my hair was breaking like crazy and got extremely gummy! You apply this after you are out of the shower to your dead brittle ends. Depending on the amount of damage on your hair, eye ball how much you need. I have very thick hair and very brittle dead ends so I apply two pumps. For thin brittle dead ends one pump is enough. You can tell a difference after your first use of this heaven sent serum! I use this every single day.

Be sure to try and avoid applying any type of heat to your hair. Avoid it as much as possible.

There are many heatless ways to style your hair!

For example.

This is what I do for those who have curly or wavy hair

-*Apply Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpting Cream Gel
(After your shower. You can apply this to damp, dry, or wet.)
-*Dove Hair Spray Extra Strength
( I like this spray because it does not make my hair so hard and crunchy looking as regular hair spray days. Spritsing makes it more natural and healthy looking.)

When applying both products tease your hair around lightly with your fingers and throw it in the direction you want it to go.

For straight hair
-*Apply the Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpting Cream Gel.
-* Make a braid starting from the mid-top of your head.

Again you can do this with wet, dampy, or dry hair.
Leave the braid in as long as you'd like but at least for an hour to get a nice bit of waves. For better results leave it in longer.

If your doing this while your hair is wet or damp. After you release your braid spritz in some Dove Hair Spray (the bottle not can) and tease it a little to lock your waves and make them more noticeable.

You can also blow dry your hair but try to avoid using hot! Use the cool. It may take longer but we're trying to keep/get healthy hair here! :)

I hope this was helpful to you all.

Review on NYX Liquid Liner - Extreme Black

My thoughts. .

I was extremely excited to finally receive my packacge from CherryCulture.com. Especially since I had been wanting to try their studio liquid eyeliner. Since I have been purchasing NYX products I have not ever been disappointed but that all changed!

What I like about it is that it's not big at all. It's nice a sleek to fit in your pocket and does not take up a huge amount of space. Another thing is that it is a extreme black! Sometimes you get a liquid liner and it's more of a grey/black. The applicator is not stiff which I love that it's not. A soft tip gives me more control on the direction I want my liner to go.

What I hate about it is that after it dries it gives you a shiny finish. I don't want my eyeliner to stand out more than my eye shadow! I also have to keep dipping my applicator to get more product and the reason for that is because all the product is CLUMPED on the upper part of the applicator. HORRIBLE. Sometimes I don't even dip it all the way back into the tube, I'll just get some from the top of tube and I'll end up getting a huge clump -___- It's very frustrating and I have to stop to calm myself. It does get messy!

Who doesn't want a perfect liquid liner with a matte finish and doesn't consist of you getting your hands all smeared with product and ruining your face makeup because clumps fall?

I was very sad about this and not happy.

I give this 2 stars because it is a nice black and the packaging is great for me and anyone wanting to travel with their liner.

Here on my Blog I go into more detail about it but here is my YouTube video as well.
